What a Guilty Pleasure, Stickers! (Sticker Sheet Edition: Part 1)

As an art enthusiast with a limited budget, stickers have been one of the closest ways to get artists' artwork, hahaha.. That's why I've been "hoarding" quite a lot of stickers from various artists. Also aren't stickers convenient? You can use it to decorate your stuff and bring those artists' aesthetique with you anywhere anytime. Isn't it cool? Hahaha.. It makes you happy while at the same time appreciating the artists' works. I also think that compared to another form of artwork, stickers are a form of artwork that are closer to everyone because of its practicality and affordable price. Many people love stickers, nowadays we can find stickers on laptop cases, phone cases, tumblr bottles, journals, etc. Even personally because I like it so much, I sometimes end up not using them because I’m afraid it will tear or fade. I have to look carefully at the materials of the sticker paper.

Without further ado and I start to “mumble” writing, hahaha.. I want to share with you some of my stickers collection, so you can see these interesting stickers too. Also if any of them fits your preference, go follow the artist and “visit” their shops (which are mostly available on e-commerce). But sorry, some of them are available for international shipping and some aren't, but you can still follow the artist and keep up with their work. :)

  Alixos

Look at this signature style in illustrating the girls! Those big eyes make it so remarkable. It's so memorable which makes the work more unique. I love drawing style which brings out something that's beautifully weird (don't get me wrong with the word "weird", I mean it's weird in a good way). Alixos' characters has certain magical vibes in them that drive me into it.

  Carlsberg Holmes

The illustration from Carlsberg Holmes has this certain comfortable vibrant color which I rarely feel from similar kinds of vibrant color artworks. This sticker is so cute and brings me the warm vibe with the way the artist colored the illustration. Probably it is because of this certain classic vibe from the drawing style that reminds me of classic novel illustrations like the earlier edition of Enid Blyton works.

  Debidubidam

Cute and fun is the first thing I see from Debidubidam's illustrations. It's simple but doesn't lose any attractive and alive aspect. How the artist designs the products is cute without being too childish or cringe. Its colorfulness also doesn't "disturb" the sight, hahaha.. The design is quirky, that's why it makes it more unique. Other than this sticker, I also love their enamel glass product. You should check their enamel glass too.

  Ink.Kainkertas

This brand mainly provides various stickers for journaling purposes but of course some of their stickers can also be used “separately” for non journaling activity. What's interesting is, some of the products are available in color and transparent sticker paper. Here I have the left one in transparent paper. The illustrations are mostly cute and neutral, so I think everyone can like it. Pardon me for those blank spots on the sticker sheets because I already used the stickers to decorate my stuff, hahaha.. The more “neutral” stickers design complement the other specifically designed stickers when attached together on certain stuff so it balances the overall decoration.

  Jinjja Jinjja

A brand which focuses on korean entertainment from music, film and tv dramas is what JInjja Jinjja known for. I know this brand from my sister who is a BTS' army. The illustrations are beautiful and cool! Just look at the drawing style, I just love it! This style is not often found in K-entertainment fan art products because most of the time I found it in a chibi style. No offense, the drawings are not bad, but sometimes those brands will look too similar to each other, so I find this one is more unique. The color choices is also comfortable for my eyes.

  Kobelita Ayamore

Another unique style in drawing a portrait of famous people. This style is so particular, hence why I'm interested in these stickers. Also.. I love Frida Kahlo's works, so to have a lot of her in a sheet of paper, a sticker which I can stick on my stuff to show it off anywhere (hahaha) is a big plus. As you can see that sheet is half empty because I already used it for my phone (unfortunately it's already faded away because of rain). I always love it when artists can draw another person in their style but it's still recognizable perfectly.

  Liunic on Things

I've been loving Liunic on Things' unique design since I didn't know... hahaha.. It was when they still had those cute iron patches (which sadly already sold out). The characters they made are really cute! The pattern, the combination, the color are all randomly cute and organized, which makes me love their unique style! Cute weird characters like these are so attractive. My personal favorite characters (if I may say character) are the fox, the side profile person, the cat and the heart with horn (?) because they will always directly remind me of Liunic on Things’ designs. It’s also amazing how these light colors can be combined really well without being too vibrant and too much for my eyes.

  OH IRV

Effortless “love at the first sight” is how I describe my interest in OH IRV’s artworks. As you can see I have a certain interest in something unique and (in a good way) weird. Just look at how OH IRV creates the characters. They are designed in a cool, mysterious and fierce nature which combined with certain color combinations beautifully and if you zoom the photos there's a certain texture added (or precisely drawn) in the works which give the works extra "spice", hahaha.. The design somehow radiates the imagery of savage and elegance very well, which makes it so irresistible for me (I have two sheets of stickers for some of the same designs even if it’s quite pricey :”) but worth it..).

  Peeling Blessed

Who doesn't love some motivational cute stickers and also some grocery and supermarket items “fanart". Peeling Bleesed made cute stickers without overdoing the cuteness to make it more appealing for journaling purposes. That's why I like the work. The color choices are also "safe" for my eyes, hahaha.. Also.. aren't the grocery store items drawn very cute but still that accurate?

  Simple Doodle

What I love about Simple Doodle's works is that they look like HD quality pictures. There must be some occasion when we see food illustrations being too abstract, right? But here Simple Doodle makes it so clear, the shape and color from the foods are shown well. The same thing also applied in the other sticker sheet with tourist objects and landmarks. Tbh I want to order some oden bowls because of the food sticker, hahaha.. Btw the instagram for this brand no longer exists, I don't know why, but they're still available in Tokopedia.

  Stamp and Paper

Word plays plus cute food drawing, I'm in! Hahaha.. I'm weak at food illustrations, I just can't, especially when the food sparks my interest and hunger (of course, hahaha..) Here by Stamp and Paper's work it becomes more attractive with the addition of the humor spice. My favorite? Definitely the “Udon Worry Be Happy”, hahaha.. Absolutely punny and punfect! (sorry.. hahaha...) They also made this illustration for postcards, btw. :)

This one is kind of "seasonal" because it's a merchandise from a certain event. Synchronize fest is a huge local music festival in Indonesia. This music festival's lineup are craaazy because they included musicians from various genres which makes me love it so much. I mean all that in one place, what a moment for amazing experience, right? For this kind of experience I'd like to bring home some souvenirs and stickers, of course.. This sticker was one of those affordable merchandise for the budget limited me, hahaha.. Also the art for Synchronize Fest are always interestingly designed, it looks really cool, so it adds the "must buy" aspect too, hahaha..

  Telllu

Ever since Monster Inc. exists, (cute) monster characters have gained more and more attention. Actually Uglydoll started my interest in monster designed products when I was in my teenage years (I don’t have it tho hahaha, but I saw photos of celebrities with the plushies, it was kind of the trend in the 2000s). Nevertheless we have to admit that Monster Inc. launched the love for cute monster characters even more. I’ll always be attracted to these cute monster illustrations. That’s the reason why I didn't think twice when I saw this sticker by Telllu. I also have drawn some monster characters and plan to make something out of it, so this sticker became a good reference for me on how to execute my plan. :)

  Tiftory

Another cute sticker to add to my collections and makes me feel good, hahaha.. This time they come from Tiftory. I love the coloring style and color choices on these stickers. It’s soft as if it's from colored pencils. The color combination also gives a certain “warm” vibes with the certain highlighting and shadowing applied. It radiates comfort when I see the color of the stickers. At some point it reminds me again of the color of classic novel covers such as in Enid Blyton’s works.

  Trinket By Kath

This brand is owned by artist Kathrin Honesta, who I adore since her work in the book written by Kay Jen Ong and illustrated by herself titled “The Shadow and The Star”. She has a specific drawing and coloring style that’s very remarkable and beautiful. A particular way of inserting pen or pencil strokes in her drawing and coloring become her signature style. The strokes make the artworks look natural and beautifully textured. Even her handwriting is a part of the style and complements the artwork well too. You have to check her other works as well to experience it further because this sticker doesn’t portray much of the overall drawing style. But as a fan, I love everything she makes, hahaha.. This sticker is lovely because of the motivational phrases which are completed with interesting multicolored backgrounds. Many of her works display more proper motivational phrases (less toxic positivity) that’s why it doesn’t cringe me.
